not particularly, i havnt seen either film or intend to go out of my way to watch them, although from what I read Cameron basically repackaged Pocahontas with Avatar and it is VASTLY over hyped. Whereas Hurt Locker focuses on the Iraq “war” which is something I have very negetively strong views on. The Oscars, like any other awards ceremony arn’t really that big a deal, it’s just a popularity contest. Kudos for it being a female director this time around though.
