this is one of the pics that i’ve taken while toying around with my new coolpix whilst trying to figure out what everything does.
admittedly it isn’t perfect, theres too much white light on the left hand side, but as I said i’m still learning how to use it and i’m trying to not to use as many of the ‘auto’ features as is possible :’).
it’s been touched up slightly on photoshop as well (i’ve just discovered the ‘cross process’ option :|!!) hell if i’m gonna shoot digitial, I might as well go the whole way! rest assured though, any film shots I take will be kept as close to the original as scanning in a print allows!
This is my new digital camera!
It’s a Nikon Coolpix S3100 and it cost me 110 euros from Calais in Paris (hey, what would you do if you had to spend 110 euros in 25 minutes in Cite Europe?)
It’s pretty mint; 14 mega pixels, 5x zoom, auto focus or manual focal point function, something like 15 ‘smart’ modes (such as “Panorama assist”, “Fireworks show”, “Museum” and “Night portrait”) and as is standard with most compacts you can choose between multiple ISO settings and EC. The only thing i’m slightly disappointed by is that you can’t select a manual shutter speed or manual aperture but hey I suppose a compact does have it’s limits! It takes a good picture and i’ll upload an example or two later. I’m not sure how i’ll utilise it, but just for it’s small size alone i’m gonna be carrying it around at parties and nights out etcetera :)).

My girlfriend and I are still auctioning her Nikon D40 SLR camera on Ebay.
It’s used and it’s the body only so there’s no lens, unfortunately the lens it came bundled with has gone kaput, but it has been a reliable workhorse for nearly 4 years and my girlfriend has decided to sell it on. It’s in good condition for it’s age, and comes boxed with the rechargable battery & battery charger but not the USB lead and SD card (sorry guys!), if you’re interested, check it out, auction ends on Saturday and it’s got a fair bit of interest already.
Safe. x
Hey.
My girlfriend and I are auctioning her Nikon D40 SLR camera on Ebay.
It’s used and it’s the body only so there’s no lens, but has been a reliable workhorse for nearly 4 years, unfortunately the lens it came bundled with has given up the ghost, so my girlfriend has decided to sell it on. It’s in good condition for it’s age, and comes boxed with the rechargable battery & battery charger but not the USB lead and SD card (sorry guys!). if you’re interested, check it out.
Gracias. xxxxjw
Basically, if you own any kind of camera, and you live in the UK, you should give a fuck about this.

Tumblr’s…
So the time has come where I can finally afford to buy a Digital SLR. I don’t own one yet, and i’m 99% sure that I want to get the Olympus e-450. I feel really comfortable with Olympus and i’m using an old OM-10 from 1987 and I really like it, this is not intended to be a replacement but I can’t go on shooting with film all my life, guess I need to join the 21st century at some point… I’ve also read 2 or 3 reviews for the e-450 and they all gave it 4/5 stars out of 5.
Do you think I should buy this camera or not? Is there some nasty pitfall I havn’t thought of? What do you guys recommend as an alternative? Just some advice please before I waste £500… Or opinions e.t.c?
I dont think I went into enough detail earlier, I was kind of rushing.
So yeah this is the camera I’m re-selling for the 2nd time.
