I’ve been looking at studying a BA Honours degree in English Language & Literature through Open University today. It looks like it could be quite… fun in a wierd kind of way, you can sort of tailor it to be more biased towards Language or Literature or do a nice combination of the two or even mix it with an outside study such as a module on History, or Music, there’s a separate module on Shakespere comparing him with the first female playwright, there’s one about 19th Century Novels… etc. The only problem is the astronomical cost. The first module is £650 and I can’t imagine it gets cheaper after that, it’s food for thought though I suppose.
