This is my local pub.At least it used to be, till it got very old and wasn’t making any money any more, so the Landlord decided not to renew it’s lease, it went on the market To Let, but the brewery, Charles Wells, eventully decided to sell the freehold, shortly after the same buyer had acquired the Kwik Save / Co-Op Dance Hall that was next door.It caused alot of fuss in Nuneaton, especially when the wrecking machines moved in on a 100+ year old building that was considered an ‘Art Deco’ building, but it still got demolished. The Nags Head, the pub, was demolished about 2 days ago from this post, the 8th of August I think. It wasn’t the best pub in the entire world, sometimes it was pretty boring, and a handful of people didn’t really like the place. But it was a pub, a live music venue, and somewhere you could go for a relaxing 4 pints and a few games of pool on a Wednesday night before you had college / work next morning, or go for a sweaty dance with your sweaty friends on a Friday night and I miss it. I havn’t found anywhere I feel as comfortable in yet.Heres a photo of the gaping hole on the roadside:

Before they build a Lidl superstore or something in its place.I’ve started a facebook group about it.If you’re interested heres the link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=135301520347
