Today is my day off. After spending every day being ridiculously trendy and fashionable I like to spend my days off relaxing in front of the tele watching Prime Ministers Questions with a cup of Apple and Cinnamon tea.

Frankie Boyle - My Shit Life So Far - an update
I’m sorry guys but this is probably the best book I’ve ever read!? I don’t think i’ve ever enjoyed a book quite as much as this (except maybe American Psycho but that was a different kind of enjoyment you know?) or tittered to myself like a four year old so much before. Frankie is a great writer and I say that in all seriousness because it must have been really fucking hard...

Frankie Boyle - My Shit Life So Far
I’ve started reading this. It’s certainly amusing, i’ve been giggling like a little schoolgirl who just… well whatever, anyway it’s really good and there’s a lot of things Frankie says that I can really empathize with (i’m not sure if that’s worrying or not…) I can’t remember the exact quote but he says he sort of distanced himself from...

Catcher In The Rye
I finished this last night whilst on the way back from Birmingham. It’s been… okay, I haven’t enjoyed it as much as some of the other things I’ve read but it’s not a terrible book. I liked the ending? I can’t quite understand why it’s hailed as such a classic but I suppose, the way it’s written, was like revoltutionary at the time. But yeah it was...

just finished putting together my first lomokino “film” from my first test roll. It looks shitty on the account that I panned the camera quicker than I was turning the hand crank and wasn’t aiming it properly at the swan I was filming but I still think it’s awesome. Hahah! I’ve got another test roll to break down into frames, then i’m gonna put the two together...

got one of my lomokino films back but Jessops ‘centre of excellence’ in Birmingham did a poor job of scanning the film to CD (in thier defence there is 4 exposures per single 35mm frame but how hard can it be? I dont know…) anyway, i’ve got one other film to get sorted from my test shooting with the ‘kino, then i’ll spend about 8 hours manually editing and...

sorry but,
GUIZE. Lomography Birmingham opens its uhh… floor space… on the 23rd January. We are going to be on the Spirit level (level 2) of Selfridges which is the same level as Topman, American Apparel, The piercing place who’s name I can’t remember right now… uh, some other super trendy clothes concessions. It’s gonna be fun, come and wave your arms in front of me and...

Taken from Frank-Turner.com - Happy 2012!
“The first thing that I did with my year was spend some time in a rehearsal room with Matt Nasir (Sleeping Souls) and Ben Dawson (Million Dead), kicking around some ideas for a hardcore / noiserock project that I’ve been mentioning from time to time for a while now. Well, we’ve already had a lot of fun and made some horrid noises, and hopefully we’ll have some time to record something...

Made a whopping £1.88 profit on my online saver account in the last 12 months. My little empire is developing slowly but surely ;). Next year it will be £3.76 and then £7.52 and then £15.04 and then… well you get the idea.

So uh, i’m pretty pleased to say that i’m gonna be part of the team at the new Lomography store in Selfridges, Birmingham (thats UK, not Alabama - for everyone who follows me in America…) and that’s about all I know! Haha! But no, for serious, it’s gonna be awesome. And you can expect me to go on about it quite alot on here!
